Tim Spears, Nashville recording artist and song writer, has
just came from Nashville where he wrote and sang a tribute song to the
late and great Dale Earnhardt, "GOODBYE DALE" . It seems as if this song
has really struck a nerve with country and Earnhardt fans. On the first
day of release locally, the CD sold out.
The song tells about the softer side of Dale as well as the
competitive
nature that he possessed. The best part seems to be, somewhere in the
final part of the song, NASCAR and Earnhardt fans truly have a chance to
say goodbye.
The music has a very special feel and was played by the "
STRAYHORNS", Alan Jackson's band. It was recorded in a small studio owned
by Danny Groah, Alan's lead guitarist.
Tim would also like to extend sympathy to the Earnhardt
family, ( especially Teresa Earnhardt and Dale, Jr. ) and he said in
an interview " Not only have we lost a great man and sportsman, but we
have lost the spark plug of NASCAR."
